BUTTONS HOW TO MAKE A FRAME Antique '

Here is one of the most beautiful effects you can get in decoupage, or the crackle effect . This technique gives a chap the treated surface and thus a semblance of old. Reproduce it on a wide frame, this method of processing very simple. Materials needed : First get yourself a wooden frame with wide border, color photocopies or prints of roses or any other chosen subject, scissors, glue, paint thinner, paint flatting and the color brown oil.

Stretch first thing in a coat of paint diluted and dried for a good time, go to another, so as to create a good basis for decoupage. Take the cuttings you have previously prepared and apply after the first draft of white glue diluted with water in the middle. Once positioned the subjects, given a new coat of white glue . After 24 hours spent four coats of protective gloss varnish.

To get the crackle effect, there are numerous methods : Consult your dealer for the best. There are products that will give you one drawing the desired effect, while others methods require the use of different paints, using the different drying times.

Once formed small cracks, apply a coat of light brown patina oil , shortly after passing a damp cloth so that the dark color is left alone in the cracks and the rest of the surface does not retain the color. And our work is finished in decoupage .
